Beaucoup de gens m'ont posé des questions par rapport à ma musique car j'ai laissé entendre que la musique est ma grande passion. J'ai décidé de mettre en ligne une petite chanson sur le site de ma femme afin que les visiteurs puissent l'entendre. La musique représente quelque chose de très personnel pour moi. Je ne suis pas professionnel. J'écris de petites chansons qui me viennent du fond du coeur et les textes seront toujours un reflet de ma propre vie. La chanson que vous entendez ici est spéciale pour différentes raisons. Sur le plan musical, c'est la meilleure que j'ai composée à la guitare. J'ai composé la chanson avec des amis et des équipiers (Kevin Reed et Tim Black). C'est déjà en soi très particulier. Mais le plus important est que cette musique concerne beaucoup de gens et que le texte leur délivre un message d'espoir.

Le titre, 'Beneath the Surface', évoque la façon dont les gens considèrent les gens qui sont sous les projecteurs. Il semble que la plupart des gens pensent que tout est pour le mieux dans le meilleur des mondes lorsque vous êtes un athlète professionnel et que vous faites régulièrement l'objet de diverses attentions. Mais ce n'est pas du tout le cas. Chaque médaille a son revers. 'Beneath the Surface' évoque en fait les problèmes qu'a connu Kevin Reed (ex-équipier à Bree) en jouant au basket à l'étranger. Dans son pays natal, tout le monde pense qu'il est parfaitement heureux et que ça se passe comme sur des roulettes. Mais la vie rélle n'est pas comme ça. Il évoque la manière dont il a fait ses preuves pour démentir ceux qui ne croyaient pas en lui. Il parle de son combat quotidien et la volonté de poursuivre chaque jour. Son engagement positif a mené au succès, mais le chemin pour y parvenir est loin d'être facile. J'espère que cette chanson touchera et pourra inspirer beaucoup de monde. En ce qui me concerne, c'est réussi.
