Eliud Kipchoge (KEN)
I'm totally out of shape this year. I tried to do my best, but second in such a poor time, that's not good. Especially because I've won here last year. Can Bekele be beaten ? Not now, and certainly not by me. He's in good shape, I have to think about next year. The world is in Japan...

Yuliya Gushchina (RUS)
Just like at the European Championships Kim Gevaert was faster in the first 100 metres. And in the home straight she keeps on rolling, faster than I can. It's just that simple. She's faster than I am.

Tyson, Grant
The weather conditions weren't perfect today but my race almost was. I'm near my personal best and I feel I'm on my better level at the moment. Hope I can go further in Berlin.

Venelina Veneva (BUL)
I'm extremely happy with this height of 1m98. I've been sick the last couple of days. Everyone in our bulgarian team is ill. Me, my coach, Stambolova... In these conditions I'm surprised to jump that high.
Kajsa Bergqvist (SWE)
I'm quite happy with my result, because I had no legs today. I felt really tired, it's been a long season. But it's huge to jump for a crowd that supports the athletes so much.
Andreas Thorkildsen (NOR)
The result was okay today. Not perfect, but good enough to secure the win. I'm really happy with it. Moreover, if I had adjusted my best throw a little bit more, it would have gone over 90 metres. It should have flown a little bit more straight plank. I always feel ready for the 90 metres and I hope to reach them in Berlin.

LaShawn Merritt (USA)
No, 44.74 is not bad in these cold conditions. But its not extraordinary eather. The time delay before the start didn't make me and my collegues happy. I had a difficult fight with Kikaya at the end and lost 2nd place. This is the first time I come to Brussels. I love this crowd and I'm looking forward for Berlin.

Sherone Simpson (JAM)
Although it was quite cool today, I ran a real good race. I was very satisfied with my start. It gave me a lot of advantage. I'm also very satisfied with the 10.95. And of course it is important to win a Golden League race.

Me'Lisa Barber (USA)
Second place and 11.10. I expected to do better, but its too cold this evening. Sherone ran sub 11, I can do that also, but not this evening.

Richard Matelong (KEN)
With two laps to go I was really closing in on Shaheen. I even thought I might catch him. But then suddenly I was too tired to close the gap, I had tried to come back too fast and I couldn't keep up my pace. I'm pleased with my result of 8 min 08 sec. My ambition for next year is to run under 8 minutes. And beat Shaheen? Hmmm, that will be really difficult...

Novlene Williams (JAM)
That was a very long finishline. I didn't see the other girls but knew they where closing in on my second place. But I held. Time is not so important today. When I saw the field, I knew it was very competitive, but I only could do my best to get in the top 3. This is the first time I come to Brussels. I like the atmosphere, but its toooo cold !

Marcus Brunson (USA)
Like my collegues, I had the feeling that it was a false start tonight. My time isn't so good but my reaction after a slow departure was fantastic. I had good feelings and deserved another result. Even if I'm happy with this second position.
Vanya Stambolova (BUL)
It was a difficult race for me. In Bulgaria many people have a kind of flu and I also got a little bit sick the last days. So I was surprised I could still come back in the home straight, but I was not strong enough for the second place.
Francis Obikwelu (POR)
I dont know if i have to be disappointed or angry tonight. The reaction times were too slow and everybody thought it was a false start. Even though, i had good fellings tonight, after having some trouble after the European championships. It's weird!

Leonard Scott (USA)
I know I'm a good starter, so I'm used being in front. But you'd better not believe I was waiting for Asafa. I wanted to keep him behind me as long as possible. A little longer in every race. That's what I'm working on. Actually 10.11 is not acceptable for me. I always want to run a 9.

Jo Pavey (GBR)
Did I beat my PB ? Oh 14'39": thats definitely a PB. One second faster and the European best for this year. I saw my laptimes and realised this race started too fast for me: so I took up my own pace and gradually I came closer to the front. It was a difficult last lap but this PB makes everything good. I love this meeting: I also ran my best 3000m in this stadion.

Rebecca Lyne (GBR)
I had a good rest after Göteborg, so not too tired today. These kind of races are different compared to the championships, but I like them too. I was a little to slow at the beginning, but I'm very happy with this third place. Below 2 minutes ? OK !
Susanna Kallur (SWE)
Today the worst part of my race was my start. I came too close in the first hurdle, so I had to start all over again looking for my rhythm. It's a pity because my body feels so much better. I was ready for a really good race.
Brigitte Foster-Hylton (JAM)
In fact, I'm happy to have finished the race without any injury. I felt good tonight but my race wasn't technically correct. I touched one hurdle with my knee. I now look forward to the next competitions.

Micah Kogo (KEN)
I only wanted to run my PB today and didn't thought I could win this race. But as Tadesse made his move in the last lap, I never gave up and tried to follow the increased pace. I won and bettered my best with over 40 seconds ! I like Belgium, because this summer I also won the 5000m in Heusden. That's my next goal: dip under 13 minutes for 5000m... Yes, this season !

Boniface Kiprop (UGA)
This is my season's best and I'm very pleased about that. I felt i had good legs tonight, for a meeting I'm really loving it. At the beginning, i felt the race was too slow and we tried to ran faster. It works. At the end, i was too tired to follow the rythm of the leaders but i feel i'm getting better and better. My ambitions? I wanna break the workd record in three years. I know i can do it.
Zersenay Tadesse (ERI)
I hoped to run sub 27. I would have been happy with 26.59. So 26.37 is a very good result. I think I can even run 20 seconds faster because the pacemakers were very slow in the beginning. So i had to make the pace myself in the 6th and 7th K. Maybe that is why I couldn't finish the race as the winner.

Barbara Maveau (BEL)
