The final of the Proximus Diamond Games between Clijsters and Mauresmo has been followed on the Flemish sports channel Sporza by more than 800,000 viewers.

On Sunday afternoon exactly 803,816 tennis fans watched the live broadcast of the Proximus Diamond Games final by Sporza tv. With that, the final served a market share of 65.5%, meaning that in Flanders two people out of three who were watching television at that moment, were following the tennis event.

Earlier on, other matches of the tournament scored well on television. More than half a million people watched Kim Clijsters first match on Wednesday, her quarter final on Friday and her semi final on Saturday evening.

The fifth edition of the Proximus Diamond Games attracted a mere 100,000 spectators to the Sportpaleis itself (98,500 to be precise). The website of the tournament drew in 245,000 visitors (seperate ID's) in less than ten days.
