Henin-Hardenne had built up a 5-1 lead, but then the Belgian lost her composure. For a moment, it even looked as if she would loose the set but Henin-Hardenne recovered and secured it after all.

Stevenson surprisingly upset 12/02/03
Day three's upset on the Proximus Diamond Games occurred when French Virginie Razzano erased eigth-seeded American Alexandra Stevenson 6-2,6-3.

Previously, Razzano had successfully dismissed Leslie Butkiewicz,Camille Pin en Elena to book her place in the main draw. In her qualifying matches the Frenchwoman only lost 9 games.

In her first-round match Razzano immediately had to cross swords with top-seeded Alexandra Stevenson. It was Razzano who eliminated the American and not the other way around, as could have been expected based on the players'seeds. Razzano could very well go on stunting and prolong her stay in Antwerp as Tina Pisnik awaits her in the next round.

The Hungarian and the Ukranian managed to win the first set, but from then on the Belgian duo dominated the match and they won the next two sets.

Clijsters-Flipkens await top-seeded duo Dokic-Bedanova in the next round.

"To be honest, we hadn't expected this victory " Clijsters admits. " People shouldn't expect to much of us , because we're still young."

"In our next match, we'll take off as the underdog which is good. Every match is a new opportunity, so I'm glad we can spend another day here. I still enjoy playing tennis, and that's what it's all about!"
