FAQ's
  • Can I still register/pay on site?
    On-site registration is possible on Friday April 20th (3 PM to 8 PM), Saturday April 21st (11 AM to 5 PM) and Sunday April 22nd (from 7:30 AM) at the Expo tent (Charles De Costerlaan) on the Left Bank. Payment on site is also possible (cash only).


  • Can I still change distance on site?
    Yes, you can. You first collect your bib number and then report with it at the Trouble desk, where you re-register for the distance of your choice. You will pay 2 € in addition for each exchange.


  • Are there showers, and where?
    For the DVV Antwerp 10 Miles/Short Run/Ladies Run/Kids Run, NO showers are available. However, a changing room is available at the start and finish (near the storage for sports bags). Due to the large number of participants, it is impossible to provide sufficient shower capacity. Showers ARE available for the DVV Antwerp Marathon. As a marathon runner, you are exclusively entitled to use these. A shuttle service runs back and forth between the Groenplaats and the shower facilities in the Paleisstraat 108 (2km). Only runners with their marathon bib number are admitted! In total, there are 48 individual showers available with their own changing room. The showers are open between 12 PM and 4:30 PM. A changing room is also provided on the Left Bank (in tents near the start) and at the finish of the marathon and relay marathon (in tents on the Groenplaats - 150 m from the Grote Markt).


  • Can somebody follow me by bicycle?
    For safety reasons, cyclists are not allowed on the course.


  • Can in run with my dog on a leash?
    For safety reason, no dogs are allowed on the course.


  • During the kids run, may a parent run along to accompany his/her kid?
    No, this is not allowed. There are lead runners/assistants provided by the organisation. The parents can wait for their kids at the finish based on the getting-lost paths that have been installed there. Every competitor will receive a wrist band in an envelope or at school. May we ask to fill this out clearly and to use it please?


  • When will the DVV Antwerp 10 Miles & Marathon take place in 2011?

  • At what time does the running competition start?
    The DVV Antwerp Marathon and Relay-Marathon starts at 9.30 am.
    The DVV Antwerp 10 Miles starts at 3.30 pm.
    The ASICS Ladies Run 5 km starts at 2.30 pm.
    The DVV Antwerp Short Run 5 km starts at 1.30 pm.
    The Chiquita Kids Run starts at 1.00 pm.


  • When can I register?
    You can already pre-register online until the 9th of April.


  • How do I register?
    By clicking here, you will automatically be transferred to the online registration.


  • Do I need a qualifying time in order to participate?
    No, you do not need a qualifying time in order to participate, everybody is welcome.


  • How much does the registration fee cost?

  • What should I do if I suddenly get sick or injured before the beginning of the competition?
    To participate in a running competition, you need to be fit and healthy. For example hard efforts during or after any kind of fever is extremely dangerous. If you happen to be in this kind of situation, it is for your own good that you immediately retreat from the competition.


  • Can I get a refund if I can't run at the competition?
    We are sorry; we are not able to give you a refund if you can't run anymore.


  • Can I transfer my bib number if I can't run?
    You can do this at the Trouble Desk by filling out a new registration form (day). In that case, you will have to pay 2 € administration costs.


  • Where on my bib number do I mention my medical information?
    Please mention all of your medical information and contact info on the back of your bib number for in case of emergency.


  • Where will the toilets be situated?
    On the Left Bank toilets are spread all over the site. Also at the starting boxes a whole bunch of toilets will be placed. At the Marathon and Relay-Marathon toilets are placed at the relay- and supply-posts (5 km, 15 km, 20 km, 30 km and 35 km). At the Right Bank toilets will be placed at the start and at the dressing rooms.


  • Where can I find the First Aid Tent?
    Left Bank: Charles De Costerlaan (finish)
    Right Bank: Grote Markt


  • What will happen at the finish?
    At the finish you will receive your well-earned medal and a drink.


  • When will the results be published?
    On Monday the 23rd of April in the special edition of Gazet van Atwerpen.
    The results will also be published on the website starting from Tuesday the 24th of April.
