Tom Meeusen has won the Krawatencross in Lille, northeast of Antwerp. In a true bunch sprint he beat Zdenek Stybar and Kevin Pauwels. With only one leg left, Pauwels remains the leader overall in the GvA Trophy.
A nasty cystitis and downing antibiotics kept Sven from taking part in the Parkcross in Maldegem, between Ghent and Bruges. On Tuesday, Sven already cancelled a ceremony in Tremelo.
The World Championships cyclocross in Koksijde, south of Ostend, Belgium, there was no holding back the Belgian riders. They dominated the race and claimed the first seven places. Niels Albert was the one who dropped all the others.
On Sunday Sven Nys hsa won his eighth national title in cyclocross. In Hooglede-Gits, south of Bruges, he dropped the entire field of pros.
